If you’re hoping to have a barn wedding in Norfolk, the Great Barn, with its striking timber beams, wooden floors and fresh white walls, is an impressive space that you can style as you wish. The building has recently been lovingly restored to be one of the greatest Norfolk wedding venues by the family who live at Oxnead Hall now, using materials from the original buildings. Where the Great Barn has been updated, it has been made to mirror the way it would have once looked, creating a modern take on the history of the Hall.
Seating up to 220 guests, it’s an ideal location for your wedding breakfast, lovingly prepared by Unique Norfolk Venues, especially in summer when drinks can be served in the adjacent courtyard. In winter, twinkling lights and heated flooring make the large space seem cosy. There’s plenty of room for a band or DJ, as well as a dance floor and tables, and the rustic framework promises great photos of your first dance as well as of your nearest and dearest delivering their speeches and celebrating your special day.
The Great Barn is perfectly positioned underneath the bridal suite, next to the Long Room and adjacent to the courtyard. From the bridal suite window, you can look down at your guests gathering for the celebrations while you freshen up.
